Each special need child can have a unique set of nutritional risks, depending on their condition and medical issues varying from weight problems to relational food issues to medicine and genetic factors. Their nutritional plan should incorporate those issues, work to solve or support them, and ultimately to improve their nutrition on a daily basis.
Nutritional Health Benefits
We have all been there. The kids just like what they like and it’s tough to get them to try new things. Involve your child in the grocery shopping experience. Encourage them to try things that will benefit their bodies and explain the importance of healthy eating. Choose something new to try from the produce section or a new shape of pasta. Try one new thing at a time until you find something they like. Consult with your child’s doctor if there are food issues related to medicines. Ask for guidance.
Gradually add new foods that your child likes and encourage them to eat less and buy less of the foods that are unhealthy. Continue to talk to about the benefits of healthy eating in new and different ways. Establish a positive meal-
