"My daughter, Elizabeth has been in Mr. D'Orazio's Jacob's Ladder Fitness Tuesday night program for several years. In 2016 she participated in the summer program which was held in conjunction with a Cleveleand State program. The young people exercised from 6-7 p.m., three evenings a week with Mr. D'Orazio as their leader. He held the class in our Metro Parks. It was wonderful. My daughter looked forward to each of the three evenings of exercise a week which was really great. It's alwayss more fun to exercise with others. The outcome for my daughter was that she started to lose weight. She was happy because she could wear some of her dresses she hadn't been able to wear for a while. She continues to go to the Tuesday night classes but this has also encouraged her to exercise at home. Her doctors wanted her to lose weight and to date she has lost 15 lbs. Mr. D'Orazio's program was fun but it helped my daughter to become a healthier person. We are so pleased with her efforts. We certainly hope Mr. D'Orazio can continue with his Jacob's Ladder Fitness program as it has certainly benefitted my daughter.
“Cody got down on the floor TWO times with NO assistance! He did not use the couch. I’m so proud of him! Thank you so much for your help, I never thought he would be able to get up and down independently!”
"Hi! Just wanted to share a comment with you. Cody started back to work two weeks ago. This week he went 3 days, all day. I asked how it was going and they said good. They were wondering if he was on a new medication. He is calm and doing so well.
I believe we have Jacob’s Ladder to thank for his positive progress. I believe fitness is more than good health, it is good mental health as well! Cody would not chose to exercise. Thank you for motivating him, pushing him and most of all for believing in him. Thank you Jake and Tony!! Thanks also to the whole crew who are role models and an amazing support team!!! We love you all!!!
Dear Jake and Tony, Thank you so much for presenting to our team. The information you shared was thorough and of much benefit to our therapists and patients. We loved hearing your personal story, are very impressed with your programming, and enjoyed the demonstration. A therapist on our committee told me it was one of her favorite Grand Rounds in many years.
Personally, I love the concept of expectation with grace. Having expectations is something I preach in my practice, so your mission really resonated. We will definitely be passing your information on to our patients.
Jake, we hope your path will lead you to Sylvester Stallone someday! Keep us posted about new opportunities for our patients and volunteer opportunities for our staff.
Thank you again!
